Salut mes amis!

Hi friends!

I am taking a month study abroad trip to take French classes at the Sorbonne and a Global Communications and International Relations course through Emerson College. I. Am so. Excited. So I decided to blog about it to keep everyone updates. Mostly for the parents. Hi mom and dad.

The month consists of classes every week day, but a main focus of freedom and independence. We are staying in apartments across the 20 arondissments of Paris and there is basically no itinerary besides classes. This is one of the most exciting elements of the trip for me. Every afternoon and weekend is free for exploring, experiencing, and entertaining ourselves in the magical city of Paris.

Hey wait. You're an acting major. Why are you taking these random classes?

3 Words: It's frikin Paris.

I think I would take chemistry classes if it meant I would get to go back to Paris (and if you know anything about me, you know how big of a deal that is).

When I was 15, I went to France for the first time. My grandparents and I went on a tour of Dinard, Normandy, and Paris for 2 weeks, and I fell in love. Not with the boy I had my first kiss with in Paris, definitely not him. But with the city. I have always been a city girl at heart, Boston is one of the main things that drew me to Emerson for four years. It's such a beautiful city and I have gone on so many adventures through the historic streets of one of the oldest cities in America.

But Boston doesn't hold a candle to Paris. I am trading Colonial cobblestones for wrought iron windowsills in the City of Lights. I am so excited to document my adventures here, or at least most of them, who knows what I will get up to. I'm kidding. Mom. Calm down.

à bientôt!

Bonjour Anna,

so happy to see that the first French words you got out of your French class in our kids programs from our Alliance Française in Cincinnati, brought you to such a great idea to go abroad, and learn the Language of Molière, Colette, Camus...and mine.

i am so excited for you and so proud of you.i will follow your blog and wish you all great experiences in classes and in the activities that you plan to try in France. Good luck to you.
